How To Please Your Dog

By Loggy Adams

Dogs love toys. You can't deny that statement; you'll see them rummaging through rooms to bite on something. Whether it's a ball, a shirt, a box, a case, a pair of iPod headphones (yes, it can happen) or your deodorant, dogs just love their toys. It's a way for them to strengthen their teeth, strengthen their bite and kill the boredom. But of course, it's annoying if they turn your most important objects into their toys. So you got to do something and get them their own toys to play with.

What are the best kind of dog toys you can give your dog? If you truly want your pants to be clean and safe for your outings, here's a list of the best toys. Yes, balls. Not soccer balls, footballs or basketball. To be more specific, rubber balls. They're easy to chew, not too hard and they can be thrown for fetching and other commands and tricks. There are some rubber balls that are loud and that are silent despite the many times it will be chewed. It's definitely a good toy to get when you want to let him chew it on his own and then used it later for fetch.

While you're at it, get a new leash for your dog but something that he can't bite apart. Why? Of course, you'll need to chain him one way or another but if he rips apart all those branded leashes, you've just wasted the value of a McDonald meal. So get a chain leash instead. Your dog will need metal teeth to break that new leash apart. Your dog needs a treat for doing his commands and tricks correctly so buy some new treats. You can buy those treats with flavors such as bacon, pork steak and other tasty flavors your dog will surely come back for.

Before you think about getting a toy, make sure you know if the toy is suitable for the dog. Is it good for a Labrador? For a Chow Chow? A Chihuahua? The best toys are always the ones specific to a dog. Sometimes, a certain chew toy may only be good for small ones while certain bones are good for the big ones. Pick wisely. This may not be classified as a toy but it's still a toy. You can try treats; little bits of food you can use when your dog does good in his performance of tricks and commands. This kind of toy, while it cannot be used as something the dog can chew on because he can eat it right, can be a good way to keep him bored when you're playing with him.

Buy him a vacation. Yes, that's right. Buy your dog a vacation. It's the least you can do for a pet who brought happiness in your life. So this Christmas, give you're a dog a present. He's given you happiness in your life so why not do the same for him? Have a very Merry Christmas with your dog.
