For A Good French Bulldog Missouri Should Be Prioritized

By Jerry Young

France and England have long histories with the French bulldog. England is responsible for developing the breed while France actively participated in popularizing it worldwide. Lacemakers from England introduced the breed in France where it became very popular and populous. As its number and popularity grew in France, the opposite happened in England. Eventually, the breed was branded with the frenchie moniker. Lacemakers who introduced the breed in France were after jobs. The French Revolution attracted lacemakers and they carried their dogs together with other belongings.

Frenchies are quite a rare breed. That means that in order to be able to bring one home, one has to wait for some time on a waiting list before they get a chance. As such, when in need of a French Bulldog Missouri is a good location to check out. There are many breeders in Missouri who breed high-quality frenchies and sell them to members of the public at affordable costs.

The purpose for which the frechie was created has evolved over time from being an excellent ratter and a watchdog to modern applications. Today, the breed is in large part used as a show dog and a family pet. The idea of using frenchies as show dogs began in France a few years after the first settlers brought them into the country. They appeared in English dog shows under a French name, something that was not received well in England.

Frenchies have very low exercise requirements. A daily walk is sufficient as opposed to several hours of rigorous exercise like is the case with other breeds. Their energy levels are very low. They need to be walked everyday so as to help maintain proper body weight. Releasing them into the backyard can help to avoid walking them daily.

Heat exhausting is a major problem in this breed. That means that the dog should not be exercised in hot temperatures. Active play and walks should only be conducted when the weather is cool, preferably in the mornings and evenings. Their high level of intelligence can make them quite stubborn during training. Training can be done through various training techniques. If one method fails to achieve the required results, another method can always be tried.

One can achieve better results if they make the training to resemble a game with a lot of fun. Rewards should also be given regularly. Puppies should be crate trained. Even if the dog will later be allowed to roam freely in the home, it should be crate trained when still young. Puppies are often playful and can damage equipment and the house if not crate trained.

The number of meals in a day should not exceed two. Food measurement for an average dog is 1 to 1.5 cups divided into two meals. Dry, high-quality food is the best. There are factors that determine the quantity of food that should be provided. They include metabolism, size, age, build, and level of activity.

Individual dogs have individual needs. Therefore, it is best to customize the care provided to suit the specific needs to the dog. Providing proper training and socialization at a tender age helps the dog to develop into a remarkable pet dog.
